BLOOD FORGE
Starving Artist Brewing
Ludington, MI.

This Double IPA smacks you in the face with a citrusy punch so flavorful you will literally land in next week.  But it’s like getting smacked in the face by something cool, like a bald eagle — so you know it’s going to make for a great story.

And with an ABV north of 10% you’re going to need that extra week to navigate your way back from the blood-orange infused utopia brewer Andy Thomas has invited you to visit.

DOCTOR’S ORDERS
Peticolas Brewing Co.
Dallas, TX.

Sure, it would be easy to say take 2 of these and call us in the morning, and we will.   But first a few of the finer points of this 10.5% Imperial IPA...

We are digging the bedside manner of the malt profile and how it gently gives way to the real healing properties of this brew, the Azacca and Denali hops.   These strains administer flavors and aromas straight from the tropics.   Doses of pineapple, mango, and tangerine make Doctor’s Orders a wonderful elixir.

Take 2 of these and call us in the morning.

TALAVERA Sea Salt and Lime LAGER
Los Angeles Ale Works
Hawthorne, CA

This lager tastes like someone squeezed a beach vacation directly into the can and somehow kept the sand out. The lime cannonballs into the first sip while the salt casually floats by on an inflatable flamingo, pretending it had nothing to do with it.

It's bright, crisp, and dangerously easy to drink, which is exactly how questionable decisions earn their origin stories. It won't change your life, but it will dramatically improve your opinion of lawn chairs, boats, and Tuesday afternoons.

If sunshine had a house beer, this would be front and center in the fridge wearing cool shades.

BODHIZAFA
Georgetown Brewery
Seattle, WA

Named after Patrick Swayze’s iconic character in POINT BREAK — at least we think so given that Georgetown also brews a Johnny Utah Pale Ale — this IPA builds like a 50 year storm and sends you barreling down its face into hoppy bliss.

And if you bail into the velvety smooth texture you can surface thanking the brew gods that the rolled oats were there to catch your fall.

Best of all, the 6.9% ABV won’t inhibit you from playing a little late night beach football and tackling your new best friend/guru ex-president bankrobber into the ocean waves...
